TOUR DESCRIPTION:

DAY 01   Transfer to a Wellness Country Resort Hotel in Trebbia Valley. Rest of the day free for relax and body care. Dinner at Country Resort. Evening free. Overnight

DAY 2   (For Golfers) After a healthy breakfast, move from your wellness Country Resort Hotel to Croara Country Club located in Trebbia Valley (a wide valley, passage way towards the italian Riviera), along the homonymous 110 km river. Admire the lowlands developed for wine growing and the highlands bordering Liguria region. The Valley offers beautiful and wild landscapes ideal for trekking, canyoning, kayaking, rafting and, of course, horseback riding and mountain biking. Lunch free.

(For NON-Golfers) A full day excursion brings you to see one of the  most famous and visited village of art of the Province of Piacenza: the Burgh of Rivalta. This medieval borough is built around the castle overlooking the Trebbia river, location near which the Battle of Trebbia between Hannibal’s troops and the Romans was likely fought in 218 B.C.The name Rivalta derives from the very ancient name “Ripa Alta” (literally: high bank). Rivalta is an entirely walled borough with a castle that is a remarkable example of medieval military architecture, it is well restored and preserved. During the second half of the 15th century the castle was restored by the architect Solari (who would also restore the Kremlin after that), in order to adjust it to the new military requirements (firearms). Time to visit the Castle museum (not to be missed three important flags that waved on the yards of the Christian ships participating to the battle of Lepanto in 1571, during which the Christians defeated the Saracens),the Armoury, the medieval kitchen, the hawk bedroom and the subterranean.

Time to enjoy the local cuisine, an interesting experience of senses: a typical Piacentino Lunch in a local “Trattoria“. The Piacentina Gastronomy is genuine and tasteful, a renewed tradition from the past. Cured meats, filled pasta, main courses based on meat, cheeses and cakes marvellously coupled with Colli Piacentini DOC (CDO Controlled Designation of Origin) wines.

Return transfer to the Wellness Country Resort Hotel.

Evening free. Overnight.

DAY 3   (For Golfers) Healthy breakfast at your wellness Country Resort Hotel. Transfer to Croara Country Club for another full “green” day. Lunch free at Country Club.

(For NON-Golfers) After breakfast, proceed to the magic Village of Grazzano Visconti built more than hundred years ago in Gothic style. At arrival, visit the burgh built around a late XIV-century Castle. It was conceived and created at the beginning of the XX century by Duke Giuseppe Visconti of Modrone and assumes the form of an example of the eclectic style, with elements taken from the Italian and French garden and the English park. Statues and bridges blend into a luxuriant natural setting, in which examples of centenarian trees, such as Lebanon cedars. See the Chapel and the Biscione Tavern, the Piazza and curio shops. Proceed with a relaxing walk to discover the borough: the narrow streets, the gardens, the water fountains, old houses with double lancet windows, characteristic shops very famous for their handicrafts  made of wrought iron, hand carved wood furniture and hand painted ceramics. Time for shopping… Lunch at a typical medieval Restaurant. Return transfer to the Wellness Country Resort Hotel. Rest of the day free for wellness and body care at the Spa. Overnight.

DAY 4  Breakfast at your wellness Country Resort Hotel. Transfer to your point of departure (Airport or Railway Station).
