TOUR DESCRIPTION:
The tour brings participants to see the places where the composer Giuseppe Verdi was born, grew up and fell in love with music. The tour starts from the small village of Roncole, where you will see the native house of the composer. The tour continues with the visit to the Museum of Casa Barezzi and Teatro Verdi in Busseto.
The first part of the tour ends with the lunch in a typical “trattoria” of Busseto, where you will taste typical local product, immersed in a magic atmosphere and surrounded by objects arousing memories. In the afternoon you will move to Villanova sull’Arda and see Villa Verdi. The residence was bought by the composer in 1848. Verdi shared the house with his second wife Giuseppina Strepponi. The house is surrounded by a large park designed by the composer himself.
The Maestro spent there his whole life from 1851. Inside you will see the original rooms with complete interior décor and furnishing, Verdi’s bedroom, the Studio and his original piano. In the residence it is also reproduced the bedroom of the Grand Hotel in Milan where the musician died.
Transfer back to Piacenza.
